My cake journey so far:-

UPDATE:    I am  registered  with BMDC EHO, I have taken my food hygiene  and I am now  open  for cake orders. I have achieved my   Certificate in Level 2 Cake Decorating June 2014 at Bradford College. I have just completed an Allegy Certificate due to the new law coming in December 2014 .

Previously:

Following a fall in 2010 which as left me disabled, I knew I had to find a hobby or go stir crazy!

I have always loved baking and the art of cake decorating. So I enquired at Bradford College and enrolled on the Sugarcraft & Cake Decorating Course. I love everything about cakes from the  planning, fondant, adding the embelishments and  right through to the final delivery. I have always gone the extra mile for everyone.

I passed the NCFE Level II in 2014, I am now on the advanced course, I am mastering the art of Royal Icing  and many more indepth techniques.

I have always been busy when the children were younger I held various part time jobs and then moved in to full time employment and enjoyed being very active.

I worked with people to overcome the barriers they held. My clients came from various backgrounds including substance misuse, alcoholisim, ex-offenders, lone parents, people with disablities and the homeless to name a few.

It was my job to find ways to knock down their barriers by finding suitable rehabilitaion agencies, find training (Two are now social workers who never thought they could do it!)  or help them to move into accomodation the list goes on & on. I found it very rewarding to help them back to a normal life and see them flourish.

I  divorced in 1999, I have seven children four daughters and three sons the youngest is 17 , I also have seven  grandchildren, so have a lot of help to call on if needed, and many things to keep me busy!!
